Day 550

     Today, I'm thankful that I can stand in the middle of my trees, in the middle of my driveway, on my property and be still and quiet. I'm thankful that I can hear woodpeckers. And critters crunching leaves in my forest. I'm thankful that at my house, it's always fall in the forest. The crunching of leaves can be heard all year round. That in itself is a gift. I'm thankful for these walls. I'm thankful for my red door. This house looks just like a wrapped gift sitting on top of a hill. Placed here by God. Just for us. Thankful that I can send my kids out to play by themselves. Thankful for kisses from my babies and my husband. For pictures with the Easter bunny. For Easter Sunday plans with family.

     This was a good day. And I'm thankful for it.

Day 549

     This day was lovely and quiet and loud all at the same time. We met my sister at a playground this morning. Odette loved the swings. The kids had such fun running and playing. After the playground, we got the kids some ice cream and fries at Carousel. That place has the best ice cream. We spent time walking up and down our driveway today. I keep finding these really cool rocks. They're greenish and white. They look pretty. I can't wait to get them in the rock tumbler. We had another dinner here at home. It's nice to cook for my family again. And it's nice to do our dishes. Thankful for books on my bookshelf in the library. Thankful for a fine Friday.

     Thankful for a good Thursday. Thankful for our new home. It's beautiful and spectacular. I love my morning walks with Higbee and my husband. I'm thankful for space for my kids to play. I'm thankful for deer. For pretty sunrises. For pretty tree lined sunsets. For the first home-cooked dinner in our new home. Thankful for this amazing gift of a home.

     Today was an amazing day. Matt and I bought a house! And it was Matt's mom's birthday!

     Matt and I moved our beds and clothes into the house today. It was hard work, but it will be so so sweet to wake up in our new home Wednesday morning. We will be moving all day tomorrow with the help of our family and some good friends. I can't believe that my new beautiful home is really mine.

     We celebrated Matt's mom tonight. She is such a giving person. She's so loyal and loving and caring. It was good to celebrate her. She's the mind of person that deserves to be celebrated.

     Thankful for an exciting day. Thankful that God is good and that he has good plans for us.

     This was a happy day! We went on our final walk-through this morning. The kids loved the new house, and it was so nice to watch their happy faces as they found their new rooms and explored our new home. We close tomorrow. I can't wait to drive home. I can't wait to sleep in my own home. I can't wait to watch my kids and Higbee play outside.

     Thankful for a day off. Thankful for only a few more days until we get our new house. I am so excited. I can hardly wait! Thankful for family. Thankful for my husband. Day 529

This day was lovely. The sky was blue. The air was cool. The wind was blowing.

Adelyn, Tobin, Casey, and Phia made posters and paraded around the neighborhood shouting, "No more littering! No more littering!" Then they hung up their signs around the neighborhood. We had a few neighbors tell us how sweet and wondering it was.

There are only 15 more days until we close on our new house. I cannot wait to drive home. Driving home after work will feel so amazing.

I can't wait to show our kids our new home. I want to go for a walk in the woods down our driveway.

I can't wait to cook in my own kitchen again.

Matt, Adelyn, Tobin, and I went out to dinner tonight. Then we drove by our old house. We had a great time relaxing together and laughing and dancing.

Thankful for a lovely day. Thankful to God for His many blessings. I don't deserve such happiness and love and so many good things.
