     Tonight, I am thankful for Friday nights. I am thankful for TV. I am thankful for bowls of soup. For nights to fall asleep on the couch. For evenings when we are all so spent, that we fall asleep early without cleaning the kitchen or doing our nightly routine, and it's just fine because we don't have to set the alarm for the next day. Thankful for the promise of lots of rest coming very soon. Thankful for a lovely Friday. For fun days at school. For time spent in the sun.

     Tonight, I am thankful that the summer is coming. I am thankful that soon, very soon indeed, I will spending my days and afternoons and evenings at home. And I love being home. I am thankful for the year I spent teaching my daughter and my nephew. I am thankful that I got to see what their strengths and weaknesses are in the classroom. I am thankful that the end of this year is going much better than the beginning of this year. I am thankful for resolutions. For revelations. For prayers answered. I am thankful that when I'm scared, I can pray. I am thankful that when I am afraid, I can go to God and read the Bible and be comforted. I am thankful that even though I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, I can trust that it will be good, or worked out for good.

shopping trips for leotards and tights with my daughter. It turned into a shopping trip where we purchased her first bra. She was so proud and excited. She even wanted to send a text to Matt about it. This was what she sent: "I got a braw at Target! I am a big girl! Yay!"
