Day 2,144

Thankful for: 

A short week at school. 

Matt helping me in the kitchen. 

Getting a text from an old student of mine. 

Chicken fajitas for dinner. With lots of salsa. 

A very long weekend coming up. 

Plans for Tobin and Adelyn to have a sleepover Thursday night. 

The feeling of going to bed after a long day. A long day, but a good day. 

Smells and sounds of home.

Thankful for: 

A rainy afternoon. 

Cooler temperatures after the storm. 

A quick Wegman's shopping trip. 

An easy dinner. 

Coming home to the best family. 

Talking travel plans with Tobin. 

Hugs from Matt and Adelyn. 

Higbee was happy to see me. 

Lunches prepped. 

My husband who is willing to help me. 

Time to sleep. 

The smells and sounds of home.

Thankful for: 

Fresh, new Mondays. 

A short week at school. 

Coming home to Matt and Adelyn and Higbee. 

Getting to talk to Tobin on the way to school and the way home. 

Painting Adelyn's nails. Painting my nails. 

Praying with Tobin before bed and snuggling him. I love to see him snuggled with all of his stuffed animals. 

The feeling of going to bed when I'm tired. 

A good Sunday.

Thankful for: 

A good Sunday. 

Matt cut the grass today and the lawn looks nice. 

We had friends over today for dinner. 

It was nice for Adelyn and Tobin to hang out with new friends. 

Higbee was well behaved. 

Tomorrow is the start of a new week. 

Our house is clean. 

Cheesecake. 

Matt and Adelyn get to spend the day together tomorrow. 

The feeling of hugging my children many, many times throughout this day. 

The feeling of Matt hugging me. 

Time to sleep all night.

Thankful for: 

A long, good day at home with my babies. 

Addy, Tobin, and I watched an episode of Dr. Quinn together. 

Adelyn and I watched Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 together. 

I got my lesson plans done for the week after this one. 

We went grocery shopping for the week. 

We met Patty, Armando, Casey, Phia, and Odette at Wegman's. The kids got to hang out for a bit and they got to have pizza for dinner together. 

Adelyn and I spent a long time talking today. 

I tried to give as many hugs as possible to my kids throughout this day. 

Adelyn and I made a cheesecake together. 

Determination, joy, bravery.

Thankful for: 

An extra long Friday night at home. 

A lovely dinner that Adelyn helped me prepare. 

We watched two episodes of Dr. Quinn and Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium together on the couch cuddled up as close as possible. 

These words from Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium: "We must face tomorrow, whatever it may bring, with determination, joy, and bravery."

A whole two days off ahead of me. 

Prayer. 

Getting to go to bed without having to set an alarm for myself. 

Things to be thankful for today.

Being able to take care of my kids through tough times.

Time to laugh with my babies. 

Bowls of ice cream before bed. 

A great day at school.

Knowing that Matt and Addy will be able to spend the day together tomorrow. 

A long, hot bath before bed.
