Driving to work with Patty, Sophia, Odette, and Tobin. 

Not many days of this school year left. 

The end of a long day.

Thankful for: 

A good day. 

Driving to school with Patty, Sophia, Odette, and Tobin.  

Coffee. 

Driving with Patty. I love lots of time to talk. 

Patty and I took our grandmother out to dinner and dessert tonight. We spent lots of time laughing. 

Long drives down dark roads. No music. Just conversation. 

Higbee met me at the door when I came home, but quickly urged me up to bed. He was tired. 

My grandmother called to see if I made it home safe. 

Tomorrow is Wednesday already. 

Rain. The sound of rain on the windshield. 

A beautiful rainbow. 

I heard an owl hooting last night. 

Addy was home with Higbee today. That makes me feel cozy. 

Texts from Matt. He makes me smile.

Thankful for: 

A day to celebrate Matt. He just graduated with a Bachelor's degree in fire science. 

We had delicious appetizers. 

We had steak, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and homemade biscuits. We had homemade chocolate chip cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious. 

A relaxing day of cooking, celebrating, reading, and watching movies. 

A short work week. 

Not many days of school left. 

The way Matt loves me. 

Safe.

Thankful for: 

A morning walk with Matt and Higbee. 

A bbq with Matt's mom, Steph, and Mario. 

Baby birds. 

Puppies. 

A lavender champagne blueberry drink. So delicious. 

A bbq with my parents, Patty, Armando, Shane, Cheyenne, and all the kids. 

Good food. 

A walk in the forest with my dad and Hank. 

Listening to Christmas music while we all sheltered in the basement because of a bad storm. 

Making it safely home. 

Our home and Higbee were safe during the storm. 

Another day off tomorrow. 

5th Grade Graduation Dance.

Thankful for: 

An early morning breakfast with Heidi: coffee and food and long conversation. 

The Lord of the Rings. I'm reading the books and we're rewatching all the movies. Tobin read all the books and loved them. I love that my kids love to read. The new season of The Rings of Power comes out soon, and we're all so excited. We're going to rewatch season 1 in preparation for season 2. 

Hugs, kisses, and love from Matt. 

Tobin getting ready for his 5th grade graduation dance. We got a new suit for the occasion. 

Driving with Tobin. We have the same taste in music. We love rap. And we listen to it turned all the way up. 

Getting new shoes for Tobin for the dance. Adelyn told him the style now is a suit with sneakers. She sent him a text message saying he was, "slaying the day away" in his suit with the new sneakers. 

Watching Tobin pick out orange flowers for Elle.

The 5th grade graduation dance was awesome! The kids had such a a good time.

A hot shower after a long day. 

The feelings of home and bed and cozy and comfort. 

Two whole more days off.
