A good Sunday.

Day 3,043

Thankful for: 

A good Sunday. 

Time outside in the wild woods with Higbee. 

Birds, flowers, trees, leaves, clouds, the sky, and a comfortable chair. 

My camera. 

The gift of sound. I love hearing the birds sing. I like to look at them closely through my camera and watch them while they chirp. I have been learning how to identify birds by learning the sounds they make. With some birds, I know they are near before I see them because I know their sounds. 

Sweet text messages from people who love Matt and our family. 

Prayers lifted up for Matt. 

Time with family. 

Time to talk with family, laugh with family, and eat a good meal with family. 

A day to celebrate Matt's mama. 

A nice, quiet talk with Matt's mom. 

Plans to do something unpleasant with Steph. Doing something unpleasant with someone I love makes that thing a little less unpleasant. 

Being able to go grocery shopping and buy the food we need. 

Buying lots of healthy food for my family. 

Plans to make a delicious orange shake for Matt tomorrow. I'm excited he wants to try it. 

A new, fresh week starting tomorrow.

Thankful for: 

Time to relax. 

A hard conversation with Addy and Tobin went well. 

We put up sheets on all the windows to make it dark in the house, and we watched Wicked. 

I made cookies. 

I sat outside with Higbee for a while today. 

Time with Matt. Cuddling with him. Laughing with him. 

Time to do nothing at all. 

Not having a schedule today. 

I watched some Twilight movies with Addy in the evening. 

A walk with Matt and Higbee. 

A good Friday.

Thankful for: 

A good Friday. 

Getting to see baby Alaina. Getting to hold her and talk with her. 

Starbucks in the morning. 

Texts from friends and family. 

Getting to hang out with Tobin on the way home. 

Fries and a milkshake.

Tobin fell asleep on the way home, and it was peaceful to hear him breathing. 

Being able to lay in bed next to the love of my life. 

Higbee was so happy to see me. He laid in bed next to me and whimpered whenever I moved my hand away from him. 

It's nice to be loved. 

The weekend ahead. I want to walk, read, crochet, bake bread, lift weights, and watch birds. 

We get to celebrate Matt's mom on Sunday. 

Getting to hold baby Alaina and play with her. 

A successful event at school. 

Sweet students. 

My mom, Tobin, Sophia, and Casey came to our school event. I'm glad they came. 

Cleanup was easy from the event. 

Sweet texts from family members. 

Prayers. 

God's promises.

Time with Matt, Adelyn, and Tobin. 

Tomorrow is Thursday. 

Time outside with my birds and Higbee. 

A fun weekend ahead. 

Doctors who care and help. 

Home clothes. 

Time to sleep all night. 

Time to rest my mind.
