Day 2,988
Thankful for:
A long, quiet early morning.
A latte.
Sweet students.
Friends at work.
Family at work.
Today is Friday, and the whole weekend is ahead of me.
I went grocery shopping after work so I don't have to go this weekend.
Cereal for dinner.
Matt made dinner for everyone else: chicken nuggets and tots.
I get to go to sleep tonight, and I don't have to set an alarm for tomorrow.
When I get up tomorrow, I'm going to go looking for hawks. I hope to find at least a few. I also want to watch my birds. It's peaceful to watch them.
Texts with friends.
Watching an old show from my childhood: Avonlea. There is a pair of sisters in the show named Hetty and Olivia. Hetty is the oldest. She's stubborn, set in her ways, particular, and opinionated. Olivia is the younger sister. She's carefree, beautiful, and level-headed. I told Patty it's funny how much like Hetty and Olivia we are. At first I thought it a bad thing to be so much like Hetty, but I'm starting to think it's a good thing. Hetty's head strong ways are her weakness AND her strength. Maybe it's that way with me too.
Winter light.
Horses behind a wooden fence swaying their manes in the cold breeze in the setting sun.
Bare trees. Bare trees are my favorite.
