Day 2,983
Thankful for:
A lovely morning and afternoon.
We had a big breakfast at Patty's. She made sausage, bacon, pancakes, and eggs. We also had orange juice and coffee. It was lovely.
Another game of Monopoly. Patty won.
A brisk winter walk through the woods.
Trees, birds, and snow.
I saw a huge hawk today.
A trip to the store with my mom and my sister.
Pizza for dinner.
A two hour delay tomorrow. I'm very thankful to be easing into this new week.
I'm thankful for a slow and quiet start to the year. I have been very thankful for time to move slowly. To sit quietly. To watch the birds at my bird feeder. To focus on my breath. To read. To sleep. To invest time in things that really matter. To find beautiful things that I have been missing out on. It has been an especially good year so far. I intend to keep it slow, quiet, beautiful, and focused on things that matter.
A full moon.
A quiet night walk with Higbee. He listened at the snow and then started pawing away at it when he heard something underneath. I love it when Higbee moves slowly and quietly too.
Plans to ride to school with Patty tomorrow. "It's so much more friendly with two." -A.A. Milne
