Thankful for: 

The end of a long, long day at work. 

Dinner with a friend at Wegman's. 

Friends. 

Patty took Tobin home and picked up Addy and fed them dinner. 

Patty met me halfway between her house and my house so I wouldn't have to drive all the way there to pick up the kids. 

A big bowl of ice cream when I got home. 

A mug of soup in bed. 

Shows to watch.

Not having to set the alarm for tomorrow, or the next day, or the next day, or the day after that. It's a really good feeling.

A funny show playing while I lay in bed with Matt. 

Cuddly Higbee.

Cuddles with Tobin while we practiced spelling words. 

Tobin told me that I was beautiful tonight.

Time to play with Higbee. 

Higbee found two frogs when I took him out. He loves finding frogs, and he's very gentle when he follows them. 

A phone call with my mom. 

Time to lay in bed and sleep all night.

A great day at work. 

The feeling of a new week. 

Fresh Mondays. 

New shoes and new clothes to wear to work. 

Cool weather in the morning. 

Being able to sleep in for a bit every morning because Adelyn isn't feeling well. 

Adelyn has covid, but it's just like a mild cold so I'm extremely thankful for that. 

I prepped dinner on Sunday, so a roasted chicken, roasted carrots, and roasted potatoes were ready when I got home from school. 

Carrots that have been roasted under a chicken. They're almost like a savory dessert. 

Time with Matt after the kids went to bed.

Going shopping for new shoes and clothes with Adelyn and Patty. 

Grocery shopping at Wegman's for delicious food.

Thankful for: 

Today was Tobin and Sophia's first day of 5th grade. It was Odette's first day of first grade. 

Today was my first day of being an assistant principal with kids in the building. 

Coming home and eating birthday leftovers. 

Laying on the couch with Matt and just quietly talking together. 

The sounds of football on TV. 

Tomorrow is Tuesday. Only three days after that until the weekend. 

I have Matt a haircut tonight. 

The feeling of laying in bed after a long day.

Thankful for: 

Adelyn. She turned 13 today. We spent the whole day together. 

We went to Wegman's early in the morning to buy a few last minute items to celebrate her on her actual birthday. 

We had French toast for breakfast. 

We relaxed and watched shows. 

I took a nap. 

We played Apples to Apples. 

We had corned beef and cabbage for dinner. 

We had a beautiful cake and ice cream for dessert.

It was a great day spent entirely  with family. I was thankful for it. 

I am thankful today and every day for Adelyn. She's my lighthouse. My bumblebee. Once, she was just turning one. Now she's a teenager.

A really fun birthday for Adelyn! Her theme was, "The Office."

Pizza, salad, bread, and apps for dinner.

We watched a slideshow that I put together to celebrate her turning 13. 

It was a fun day with family to celebrate my beautiful girl.
