Thankful for: 

Time with the loves of my life this morning. 

Time to watch a movie on the couch with Matt.

Time with my grandmother in the car. I picked her up and dropped her off at home again for Sophia's birthday.

Chili. 

All the cousins playing together and being adorable. 

Oliver gave me a hug goodbye and blew me kisses.

A peppermint chip milkshake on the way home.

     Thankful for a fun day with family. Thankful for lunch dates. Thankful for delicious coffee. Thankful for coming home to the best home ever. Thankful for the best husband ever. For the best kids ever. For the best dog ever. Thankful for this life. It's perfect, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

Matt. He helps me feel better when I'm feeling anxious. He knows what to say to calm me.

     This Christmas break has been so wonderful. We've done nothing but sleep, nap, eat good food, relax, watch TV, spend time together, and laugh. The older I get, the more I learn that time is the best gift we can give each other. I'm so thankful not to have to rush over this break. I'm always rushing, and it's not because I'm always late; it's because there's so much to do. I'm really thankful for time to do nothing except take care of my family. I'm thankful for time to sit around and laugh. I'm thankful for time to cook nice meals and make bread for my family. I'm thankful for plans for tomorrow of: cleaning up, going on a long walk, and playing board games. I'm thankful for this time.

     Today was a good day. Here's why: 

We woke up around 10 am. I love waking up with no alarm. 

We went out to lunch at Sweet Water with Sue, Steph, and Mario. 

I had a delicious salad with mashed potatoes on the side. It was so good. 

I had a decaf coffee with a flourless chocolate waffle for dessert. 

We went clothing shopping for Addy, Tobin, and Matt. 

We came home and had an easy dinner. 

Matt is off for many, many days with us.

Thankful for: 

Christmas Day: part two. Matt worked 24 hours on Christmas Day, so we celebrated today. 

Matt got me a new camera! I'm really happy and excited about it. 

We had a yummy breakfast of French toast and sausage. 

We relaxed all day long. 

I napped on the couch. 

Our kids relaxed and played with new things. 

Days when we don't leave the house at all. 

My family, our home, and our lives together. All of it is in a word: perfect.

Christmas. 

A quiet morning with my babies. 

Sweet texts from Matt. 

Opening two awesome gifts from Matt: watermelon jolly ranchers and manuka honey lollypops. 

The kids were relaxing in their new hangout today: the basement. 

Cookies and coffee for breakfast and it's okay because it's Christmas. 

A delicious dinner with my family. 

Opening gifts with my family. 

Awesome presents. 

Time with people who love me. 

Karaoke time. 

Watching a Christmas movie together. 

Watching Impractical Jokers today. I love to laugh with my family. 

Cleaning the entire house after everyone left tonight. I like to wake up to a clean home. 

Tomorrow we are celebrating Christmas as a family. I'm excited to be home and relax tomorrow.

     Thankful for: 

A haircut. 

Spending the day with my mom and dad. 

Going out for a delicious meal with my parents. 

Being treated to dinner and dessert. 

Shopping with my mom. 

Listening to music with my mom. 

Shopping for things for people I love. 

Coming home to the best family. 

Higbee cuddling in bed with me. It's very rare that he wants to cuddle, so I soak it in when he does.

     Thankful for the best day with my sweet, sweet family. Matt and I worked on our big Christmas present for our kids all morning, and we got it pretty much finished. Then, we took our kids to Winterfest at King's Dominion. It was the best day. I'm so in love with Matt, and our kids, and our absolutely perfect life. I don't deserve such perfection and happiness. I'm just thankful God chooses to bless us.
