Chili for dinner. 

Two cakes and ice cream for dessert. 

Fun party games: pin the tail on the horse, and a horse coloring contest.

Thankful for: 

My friends and her kids came over to have lunch today. It was really good to sit and talk with her. I love having time for friends to come visit. 

Our kids had a fun time playing together and made a movie trailer. It was really cute and funny! 

I made quiche for lunch. I think quiche is one of my new favorites. 

We went to Steph and Mario's for dinner tonight. 

Mario's parents blessed us with lovely Christmas presents. I'm thankful they consider us family! 

Can't wait to celebrate Sophia tomorrow. It's her birthday.

Thankful for: 

Breakfast with friends at Panera. 

Time to chat with friends. 

Seeing 10 to 15 beautiful hawks on our way to my grandmother's house. I saw so many I lost count. 

Time with my grandmother. 

I made a weird but delicious soup for dinner. I took all the vegetables: carrots, celery, onion, and garlic, and turned it into puree in the food processor. Then I added those vegetables back into the broth so Tobin would eat them. I added so many carrots that it turned the soup orange, but it was delicious. And Tobin ate his vegetables! Win, win. 

A long, quiet day.

Thankful for: 

A long, quiet day at home. 

I finished all of my grading that I wanted to get done over this break. 

A big, delicious cup of coffee. 

The kids playing with their Christmas gifts. 

Time to sit on the couch and watch a show. 

Time to read. 

Dinner with friends at a Mexican restaurant.

Time at home. 

Time with family. 

Higbee is healthy. He had a vet appointment. I'm always thankful for good doctor appointments. 

Time to relax and sleep. 

Many days left at home with my loves. 

Fun things to look forward to. 

Sourdough prepping for baking tomorrow. I love sourdough. I love baking bread. It makes me feel really happy. 

Cold air. It makes me feel refreshed when my brain feels fuzzy. 

Enough food to eat. 

A beautiful home to relax in. 

The warmth of couches, blankets, and movies.

Time to clean my beautiful home. 

Time with my family. 

Christmas dinner leftovers. 

We watched a new Christmas movie together as a family. 

Christmas cookies with frosting. 

Many, many more days off together.
