Adelyn's 12th birthday.

Thankful for: 

My amazing daughter, Adelyn. Today is her 12th birthday. 

It was an amazing day spent relaxing and enjoying each other's company. 

We watched Dr. Quinn. 

I made a chocolate chip cheesecake for dessert. 

We had corned beef and cabbage for dinner. 

We gave Adelyn a tv for her room, a pineapple squishmellow, some Seinfeld plushies, and Twilight stickers as gifts. 

We told her why we loved her. 

There were lots of hugs and cuddles. There was lots of laughter. 

Adelyn and Tobin watched Twilight in her room on her new tv. 

I love the way Matt loves our children. He's an amazing father. 

I love the way Matt loves me. He's an amazing husband. 

Adelyn got a special delivery from Matt's uncle: flowers, a teddy bear, chocolates, and balloons. She was so surprised and delighted! 

It was a wonderful day. 

We still have another day to celebrate her tomorrow. 

I don't have to leave until Monday morning.

Thankful for: 

The end of a long day. It was a good day. It was just very long. 

Seeing my sweet new students. 

Former students coming to give me hugs and sit and talk with me. 

Coming home to my babies and hugging them and laughing with them and talking. 

An episode of Dr. Quinn before bed. 

A fun day planned for tomorrow for Adelyn's birthday. 

I don't have to leave my house until Monday morning. 

The end of a good first week back to work.

The end of a busy, stressful, and hectic day. 

My bed.

River's 11th birthday.

Thankful for: 

River Hope Sanderson. It's such a pretty name. 

Today is River's 11 birthday in heaven. 

A few phone calls from people wishing River a happy birthday. 

Pretty flowers. 

A pretty cake. 

We imagined what River's heavenly birthday would be: 

Matt says she would be eating cake. 

Adelyn said she would be petting a t-rex and going on a roller coaster. 

Tobin said she would be thinking of us. 

I said that she would be swimming in the ocean today. 

Sounds like a great party to me! 

Matt came and sat with me and talked. 

A good evening a little party with my family.

Thankful for: 

This day. 

Beautiful weather. 

Frogs making lots of noise on our evening walk tonight. 

Tobin carries a stick, sword, or light saber of some kind every time we go walking. He never just walks. He's always playing and pretending. I love that about him. 

I got a lot of work done today. 

I love where I work. 

I love the people I get to work with. 

Texts from Matt. 

Tea. 

My lunch and coffee all prepped and ready to go tomorrow. I'm going to try and get an extra head start tomorrow. 

Walking with Higbee. 

A tidy kitchen. 

My kids playing together in their playroom. It won't be much longer that we will need a playroom. 

Adelyn's birthday is coming up. 

River's birthday is tomorrow. I'm excited to go get a cake and pick some flowers for her. 

Tomorrow is Wednesday. After tomorrow, I'm already half way done with the first week of school. 

Flowers on my sink windowsill. I'm thinking about bringing them into school to brighten up my windowsill at school. 

New students coming soon. I really love a fresh, new class. And a fresh, new year.

A great first day of school. 

Lovely weather. I love when it rains on the first day of school. 

Coming home and taking Higbee on a long walk with Matt. 

Hugging Addy and Tobin. They really seemed happy to see me. 

Getting ready for a brand new year. I love brand new things.

A very good last day of summer. I spent it at home with my babies.

Sanderson surprise for lunch.

Lots of laughter with my kids today. 

A long walk with my kids and Higbee. 

A rainy Sunday. 

The first day of work for a new year tomorrow. First days are always exciting. 

Texts from Matt. 

Plans to go into work early tomorrow and get things done before the first morning meeting. 

I will be getting new students soon! I'm excited to meet them. 

Lots of tea in teacups today. 

Higbee was cuddly today. 

My kids had a relaxing day.
