Decorating for Christmas.

Thankful for: 

Patty helped me decorate my classroom for Monday's: Little House on the Prairie Day. 

We decorated our house for Christmas today. It was really fun. I love our house looking full and cozy and warm with Christmas decorations. 

A fun and busy day ahead of us tomorrow. 

Hugs, laughter, and love in our home.

Thankful for: 

A great day with my students. Rusty, the guinea pig, came to visit us. I love to see children being gentle and sweet to animals. 

Great days at school. I have a wonderful class. I'm thankful I have such sweet students to teach. 

A fun morning with Adelyn and Tobin. Adelyn ran to her bus this morning so she could get her seat on the bus. Tobin and I were laughing so hard about it. 

Coming home to the best home. 

Sleeping in the most comfortable bed. 

I have the most amazing family.

Thankful for: 

A great day at school. 

The best kids. I love them because they're mine and they're amazing, but also because they love me even when I'm not perfect. 

Cuddling on the couch tonight with Tobin. 

Adelyn asked me to come into her room to talk with her. When I went in, she just wanted to chat. 

Adelyn gave me some hair advice tonight. 

Tomorrow is Thursday and the next day is Friday. 

A fun weekend ahead. 

Good health. 

Talking on the phone with my sister for a long, long time. It's always good for my soul to spend time with her. 

Texts from Matt during the day. I love it when I get a text from him because I know he's thinking about me. 

A phone call with Matt at the end of the day. He gets me and I get him. I love that I know what he's thinking and he knows what I'm thinking without us having to say it out loud. 

Patty said she would bring me a bit of her homemade soup tomorrow. 

A very warm and a cozy bed. 

A very cuddly Higbee. 

A long, hot bath before bed. 

So many things to be thankful for I could never, ever list them all. 

Warm and dry when it's cold and wet.

Thankful for: 

Matt. He loves me so much. He's kind and patient with me even when I'm unkind and impatient. I don't know what I'd do without him. 

My children. They make every day beautiful and wonderful. 

Tomorrow is the middle of the school week. 

Our warm, dry home on this cold, wet night. 

A snuggly pup in bed with us. 

Comforting things like mugs of tea and slippers and blankets and bedtime. 

Not having to do anything after school tomorrow. I'm going to get something easy for dinner, bring work home from school, and get all caught up. I hate feeling behind. 

Time to sleep all night. 

Time to sleep all night. I know I already wrote it, but I'm just really thankful for it. 

Lunches prepped for tomorrow. 

Thanksgiving is coming soon. 

I've been listening to Christmas music on the way to work every day, and it helps me feel happy and excited. 

Frost in the mornings. 

Tobin doing things like a spoon under his pillow and pajamas inside out and backwards to make it snow.

Matt helped me with the dishes tonight. 

Matt always comes to meet us at the car when we come home. He helps us carry in all of our bags. 

Hot tea in a comfortable mug. 

Socks and sweaters and slippers. 

Lunches prepped for tomorrow. 

Higbee had a cuddly day at home with Matt. 

Time to lay in bed and sleep all night. 

Books. 

A fun day planned for tomorrow for my students. 

Cold air. 

A dark night paired with cold air. Sometimes, I feel like the air feels the freshest at night. 

A good salad for lunch tomorrow.

The journey home today.

Having fun with Matt while doing chores. He makes anything fun.

Thankful for: 

I watched the sunrise this morning. 

Matt and I watched the sunset this evening. 

I spent the best day with my love. 

We went to the Wright Brothers Memorial. 

We went to the Bodie Island Lighthouse. 

We saw a bunch of migratory birds today. 

We walked on the beach. 

We sat and talked on the beach. 

We ate delicious food. 

We laughed a lot. 

This weekend with my love has been truly wonderful. Thankful for the beach, the birds, lighthouses, the sunset, the sunrise, but most of all, I'm thankful for a man named Matt who has chosen to love me. Life is beautiful with him.
