Thankful for:
Warm smiles and cozy hearts that await my return home from school.
The feeling of holding my loved ones close.
The feeling of the floor of my home beneath my feet.
Being able to do things like clean up my kitchen.
Getting into bed early.
Cream of wheat waiting for breakfast tomorrow.
Tacos for dinner tonight.
Texts from Matt.
Texts from my friend, Heidi.
Phone calls with my mom and my sister.
Starbucks this morning.
Seeing my students again after a long break. I was happy to see their smiles.
The month of January.
Cold, cold air.
Coats, hats, scarves, and gloves.
