Day 590
Had an awesome night out tonight. It was so good to have an adult night with good company, good food, good wine, and so much laughter. I just love sitting around and talking about the good old days with friends.
While we were driving home, I kept thinking about Andy from, The Office. He said something pretty profound on the last episode. He said, "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them." So even though we spent a great deal of time talking about the good old days tonight, I realized on the drive home that this night was a good old day.
Thankful for great friends. Thankful for dogs. They have a way of making even the tightest of ships loosen up a bit. Thankful for wine. Thankful for a night out of the house. Thankful for great conversation. Even if it did take a 45 minute detour so that Matt and Jason could talk about guns. And gun movies. And make gun noises. And look at guns. And talk some more about guns. Thankful for good old days.
