Sleeping Swans

Project 365 * 2 -- Day 97

Last night, when Shane was telling me why he loved me (our birthday tradition), he mentioned, Sleeping Swans, as one of the reasons why.

Shane was in elementary school when Matt and I first started dating. And we liked to make up tall tales to tell Shane. One of these tall tales was, Sleeping Swans. We told Shane that in the back of Book Rack in Manchester Lakes, there was a secret ice cream shop. And the ice cream was the best ice cream you've ever tasted in your whole life. And the secret to this best tasting ice cream was swan poop. That's why it was called, Sleeping Swans. They took the poop from the swans while they were sleeping, and made the ice cream from it. We convinced poor Shane that we had eaten ice cream from Sleeping Swans, but you had to have a password to get in. That's why he had never seen it when he peeked in the window countless times.

Thankful for Shane. Thankful for tall tales. Thankful that Matt has been a part of our family for so long. Thankful that we have been able to watch Shane grow up into the awesome guy he is today. Thankful for silly things like Sleeping Swans. Every life needs a little silly in it.

Seefood.

My beauty.

Look at all that nose art from Roxy on the glass door. I much prefer the term nose art to dirty window. :)

My gorgeous boy.

Mama and Daughter.

Did not want to leave the playground.

Watching the train go by.
