The Doves

Project 365 * 2 -- Day 121

We spent a great deal of time outside today. Just walking. Meandering. We took a couple of trips to the playground, but for the most part, we were just...out. Just outside. Hanging out. Picking flowers. You don't have to teach a girl how to pick flowers. I think they are born knowing how to do it. We watched birds. We love to watch birds. While we were watching, we came across two lovely doves in the graveyard. Just sitting there, together. In the sun.

A little research online told me that doves mate for life. That they are emblems of love and faithfulness. And reading that, just made me smile. In all the world, these two doves found each other. And love each other. And enjoy sitting together, in the sun.

Made me think of my love. In all the world, we found each other. And we love each other.

Thankful for glorious days spent outside. Thankful for flowers. Thankful for doves. Thankful that they reminded me that even though this world is a huge place, and it's sometimes scary, and it's sometimes stormy, there is the one. The one who will love you. Remain faithful to you. And sit in the sun with you.
