What is it about a blanket, or a large beach towel, spread out on a grassy patch of earth? Why does it feel so good to sit among the grass and the trees? Why are picnics so fun? Honestly, I have no idea.
But, for whatever reason, I felt the need to get out, today. To take off my shoes, and feel the grass and concrete beneath my feet. To just sit outside. And that's just what we did. And it was lovely.
Thankful for picnics. Thankful for grassy patches of earth. Thankful for big blankets. And huge beach towels. Thankful for sunshine, and a cool breeze. Thankful for friends to sit on beach towels with. Thankful for this beautiful day.
