Matt and I went out tonight to celebrate his sister's birthday. It was awesome to get out, and spend time in the adult world. We had a lovely dinner out. Afterwards, we went back to Steph and Mario's house for birthday cake and presents. It was so good to get out. It was so good to spend time with family. And it was so good to celebrate Stephanie. She's an awesome person, and she deserves to be celebrated. My favorite part of the night? Watching, Mrs. Doubtfire. Mario was flipping through the channels and stopped on it. And then we all found ourselves really into watching it. So much in fact that we have already talked about another date night that includes watching Mrs. Doubtfire in it's entirety.
Thankful for Steph. Thankful to have such an amazing person to call my sister. Thankful for a night out with adults. It was much needed. Thankful to have been able to eat a meal uninterrupted. Thankful for birthday cake. Thankful for laughter, and the love in our family. Thankful for movies like Mrs. Doubtfire. Silly, but at the same time awesome. Thankful for a good day. And a good night.
